APPOINTMENTS

I’d love to work with you, except…

As of November 1st, 2016, I am not accepting new clients unless you are a former student from BTI class 68 or you have been referred by Dr. Elizabeth Norman. This shift is primarily due to the time constraints of my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Appalachian State. Please join my email list to be notified when I am accepting new clients again, and feel free to give me a call at 919-672-3274 if you’d like my input on a referral.

Hours

Office appointments are available on Mondays* from May through December 2016. I’ve scaled back my practice to accommodate my graduate studies, and my office hours will be changing on a semester by semester basis based on my course schedule.
*A special note about accessibility: My office is on the second floor, and there is not an elevator in the house. I have an alternate office available in downtown Hillsborough for those who need a ground level option. Please note that these sessions will need to be set up via phone or email, as my online scheduler (below) only reflects times for my space in Durham.
I also offer sessions via the web, for those who are unable to come to either location.

Location

Historic E.K. Powe House
112 Swift Avenue in Durham, NC
This lovely house is just off of the Durham freeway near Duke University’s East Campus.
You will receive directions via email once your appointment is scheduled.

Fees

I offer prospective clients a free consultation of up to 30 minutes in person at my office, by phone, or via the web.

My fee is $85-$135 (sliding scale). I ask that you select the amount in this range that feels right for you, with no explanation needed. All sessions are approximately 90 minutes.

Cash, checks and all major credit and debit cards are accepted.

I do not file any kind of insurance, but if you have a flexible spending account (FSA), I am happy to email you a receipt to send in. Reimbursement is dependent on your FSA administrator, and some companies require a doctor’s referral.

Before scheduling your first appointment

Please read about who I am, my training, licensure and the methods I use under “ABOUT.”
Also, it’s important that you read my cancellation and lateness policy, found below.
If it seems like my practice may be a good fit for you, feel free to request a free consultation or contact me by phone at 919-672-3274 to discuss setting up an initial session. It may be the case that after speaking with you it’s best to refer you to another practitioner in the community, in which case I will provide you with a referral. Please DO NOT schedule online unless we have spoken to each other first.

Schedule an Appointment Online

If you are a returning client, you may schedule a session by clicking on 90 Minute Session, in red, below. If you would like to see me sooner than what you see available on my online scheduler, feel free to contact me to be added to my cancellation list. To check my availability within the next 24 hours, please call me at 919-672-3274, as any open times will not appear online.

Lateness and Last Minute Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy

Our session begins at your appointment time.
If you will be arriving late, please call or text to let me know when to expect you.
Our time together will be shorter, but I’d always prefer that you arrive late than not at all.
A $50 fee is required for no shows and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance.
As a courtesy to you, my scheduling system sends a confirmation email when you make your appointment, and a reminder email about 48 hours before your appointment time.
Please note that if you do not receive these reminders due to technical issues on your end or mine, you are still responsible for payment if you do not attend your appointment.
Thank you for understanding how vital this policy is to the health of my practice.
